We are taught to hide from our darkness, conceal our evils and cage our demons. To always keep the light on. But those things that thrive in shadow which we constantly fear will devour us only do so because we never confront them. And what we are so quick to treat as an enemy lashes back at us in anger because maybe this whole time it has seen us as a friend.
